The Catalan Water Agency (ACA) has awarded subsidies so that 11 municipalities in Maresme can carry out maintenance and conservation actions for channels in urban areas.
The subsidy will finance actions in public hydraulic domain within an urban area that involve the selective removal of high densities of vegetation that obstruct the passage of water, the eradication of invasive plant species that reduce drainage capacity, the removal of dead and fallen trees and the removal and redistribution of sediments.
In Maresme, 17 performances presented by 11 municipalities will receive this aid: Mataró, Santa Susanna, Arenys de Mar, Arenys de Munt, Cabrils, Òrrius, Cabrera de Mar, El Masnou, San Vicente de Montalt, Caldes d'Estrac and Sant Iscle de Vallalta with a total investment of 370,376 euros.
