Teresa Campos's saddest birthday: she turns 82 locked up at home

This Sunday, June 18, 2023, the emblematic presenter María Teresa Campos celebrates her 82nd birthday, in one of the most delicate moments of her life. Withdrawn from television and with serious cognitive problems, the celebration will be discreet and private, as confirmed by her eldest daughter, Terelu Campos.

According to Terelu, "nothing special is going to be done." Furthermore, Terelu and her sister Carmen have decided not to reveal to her mother that it is her birthday, in an effort to keep her calm and protect her from the emotional stress that organizing and receiving visitors could entail.

In this sense, preventing the house from filling up with people is also a good way to prevent comments that could upset María Teresa, who does not know that Sálvame is ending soon or that Gustavo Guillermo, her right-hand man, had a great confrontation with his daughters.

Despite the privacy and normality that the presenter's daughters seek for her birthday, María Teresa will not be alone. Her closest relatives will be on this day. But, above all, there will be Marc, the great-grandson of María Teresa.

According to information obtained by EL ESPAÑOL, Carmen Borrego has asked her son to go to his grandmother's house so that the famous communicator can meet her first great-grandson. Thus, although it will be a different birthday for María Teresa Campos, the day will be marked by the affection of her closest family.

The presenter, as Borrego commented in the Deluxe, already knows that she is a great-grandmother, but she still does not know the little one. The person in charge of giving the good news was José María, son of Borrego and grandson of the veteran communicator. "The joy and happiness was absolute, although it was also ephemeral," commented her daughter, emphasizing the memory problems that María Teresa has developed in recent months.
