Taking advantage of the calm autumn in Cadaqués

In La Vanguardia Readers' Photos we can contemplate this autumn perspective of Cadaqués that conveys calm, with the calm Mediterranean Sea, in line with the harmony of the town's architecture and the picturesque boats that rest on the water.

And the Costa Brava, so far, is less agitated this year in autumn, with the sea only disturbed by sporadic storms, such as Aline and Bernard, which have reached Catalonia more weakened than in other parts of the Iberian Peninsula.

Cadaqués is precisely one of the most emblematic towns on the Costa Brava, with a past linked to the artist Salvador Dalí and lucky enough to be located next to Cap de Creus. The origin of the toponym is Cap de Quers or Cap d'Aques, which translates as "cape of rocks".

The boat in the foreground of the photograph transports us to the maritime atmosphere that prevails in this part of the Girona coast. In fact, Cadaqués' own fishing ordinances have been known since the 16th century.

Cadaqués is the easternmost town on the Iberian Peninsula. Its municipal term occupies most of the east coast of the Cap de Creus massif. Isolated by the mountains of Puig de Paní and Puig de Bufadors from the rest of the Empordà, it lives facing the sea.
