Spain will go from hosting five DP World Tour tournaments this year to just one in 2023

The DP World Tour has announced this Thursday the tournament program for the 2023 edition and in it there is only one on Spanish soil: the Spanish Open, from October 12 to 15 at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. In 2022 there have been up to five events in Spain: ISPS Handa Championship in Spain, Catalunya Championship, Spanish Open, Andalucía Masters and Mallorca Open. For 2023 only one, at least, for now.

The DP World Tour 2023 will kick off on November 24, 2022 with a double date: the Australian PGA Championship, in Brisbane, and the Joburg Open, in South Africa. Four new tournaments in Asia are also included in the 2023 calendar, with the Singapore Classic (February 9-12) and the Thailand Classic (February 16-19), followed by the tour's first trip to Japan for the ISPS Handa-Championship (April 20-23) and return to South Korea for the first time since 2013 (April 27-30).

In Europe, there are changes in the dates of several tournaments. The Irish Open is moved to September 7-10, while the Italian Open will take place from May 4-7 before the Marco Simone Golf

There is also a new three-week summer break on the calendar following the 151 British Open and the Barracuda Championship (both July 20-23).
