Solar flares and lunar halo

In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see how the sun rises with its eruptions between thin clouds in a yellowish sky and a gray heron flying ahead, in Les Masies de Voltregà (Osona).

Solar flares are essentially giant explosions on the surface of the sun.

When the sun rises over the horizon it is easier to capture spots or solar flares with a telephoto lens. They cannot be seen with the naked eye, with a telephoto lens or a telescope it is possible, preventing the entry of excessive sunlight.

From the same place, looking to the west, was the waning moon, with a halo around it due to the high clouds and cloudy sky. It is the magic of the first light of day.

The waning moon is the interval between the full moon and the new moon. Normally, reference is made to the last quarter phase.
