The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested six people caught trafficking drugs in the parking lot of a hotel in Barberà del Vallès.
The arrests occurred on Monday afternoon, when a patrol carrying out preventive surveillance observed two vehicles parked behind a truck in a parking lot located on the N-150 highway.
The two vehicles had all the doors and trunks open, and there was a group of people handling bags, which raised the suspicions of the agents.
As they approached, the group quickly locked their vehicles but police detected a strong odor of marijuana.
The agents searched the cars, where they found 8.9 kilos of buds, almost 3,600 euros in banknotes and three knives.
The vehicles had foreign plates, and one of them was recorded as stolen in Germany.
The detainees are between 25 and 38 years old and were handed over to the Cerdanyola del Vallès court.
