Sevilla is happy on their return to the Europa League

Sevilla is signing one of the worst seasons in its recent history, twelfth in the League, but in the Europa League, where it is the team that has won six titles, it continues to retain its aura of champion. The Seville team forgot their sorrows in the Spanish competition and began a new campaign in the second European competition with a resounding victory against PSV Eindhoven (3-0) at the Sánchez Pizjuán.

Jorge Sampaoli's pupils put their place in the round of 16 on track thanks, above all, to the outburst between the end of the first half and the start of the second, when Sevilla's goals came. En-Nesyri opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime and after the restart Ocampos and Gudelj rounded out the party for those from Nervión.

The team led by Ruud van Nistelrooy came out better on the field of play, with more presence in the rival field and more chances. Bono had to come to the rescue a couple of times, notably on a point-blank shot from Saibari. The good minutes of the Dutch were joined by the injury of Badé, who withdrew from the field in the 14th minute.

Sevilla gradually took the tone of the game. The forces equalized around half an hour into the game, at which time En-Nesyri was close to hunting down a good cross from Rakitic. The Moroccan made no mistake minutes later, in the discount of the first half, when he gained position at the near post and finished off a tense cross from Jesús Navas at the back of the goal, the umpteenth of his career for Los Palacios.

The joy for the goal lasted in the first minutes of the second half. After the restart, Ocampos entered the field of play, replacing Bryan Gil, and it took the Argentine just five minutes to pierce Walter Benítez's goal with a great goal. Sevilla took out quickly from the wing, Oliver Torres and Quilmes put it to the far post, in two touches, one to control the ball and another to finish off while turning around, he hit a great shot that hit the post before staying on the network.

The Argentinian did not have enough with his great maneuver and surpassed himself on the third goal, in the 55th minute. Ocampos controlled a long ball from Rakitic in the area and left it on the heel of a Gudelj who shot Benítez. PSV tried to react, tilting the field towards Bono's goal, but Sevilla, grown by the result and an atmosphere in the stands reminiscent of the best times, conceded very few chances.

Veerman, first with a shot that Bono repelled and then with another shot to the post, was able to score the goal that gave his team more hope for the return, but nothing changed the night of the Seville team, that of the great Seville of Europe League.
