This Wednesday, the Lleida Court held the trial of a young man who admitted that he sexually assaulted two girls. Specifically, he forced them to make pornographic images and videos and threatened to spread them. He managed to get them to agree to her requests and arranged to meet one of them in a hotel in Lleida to rape her.
The accused, who also possessed child pornography, initially faced 43 years in prison, but the parties have agreed to a sentence of 18 years to prevent the victims from having to testify and relive the events.
To reduce the sentence, it has also been taken into account that the young man is diagnosed with borderline intelligence, he collaborated in the investigation and confessed.
In emptying the accused's cell phone, the Mossos detected more than 1,400 videos, 11 of them of one of the victims, and 587 files of child pornography.
Through the analysis of the content of the device, the police identified and contacted other victims who did not want to report the young man because "they did not want to remember the events and a situation that distressed them," declared the head of the ABP Investigation Unit of the Mossos in Segrià.
