Rosa Clará refuses to show at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week

Rosa Clará has announced that she will not participate in this year's Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, which will be held from April 17 to 21 at Fira de Barcelona. The brand specialized in bridal and party was one of the mainstays of the bridal catwalk, but they have decided to be absent from this edition to open up to new horizons: "We are going to launch other formulas to present our collections to brides from all over the world. Furthermore, we have decided to be present, with the effort that this entails, at sector fairs that are held in Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy or the United States and that are organized before the one in Barcelona," the firm stated in a statement.

Sources close to Rosa Clará have commented that for their interests and strategy, Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week is held very late, since next year's collections begin to be served from September, so they cannot wait for the catwalk to take place. in April to present it to its clients.

This past weekend the Rosa Clará group held its annual convention on the five floors of the Sant Just Desvern showroom. More than 1,000 clients from 83 countries have attended there to learn about the group's 16 bridal collections for 2025, including Rosa Clará Couture, the firm's haute couture line. The six cocktail and party collections have also been presented, such as the one designed by Paloma Cuevas. The convention ended with a dinner at the Drassanes of the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.

Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week has responded that they respect the decision of Rosa Clará, one of the leading companies in the bridal sector: "We respect Rosa Clará's decision framed in its marketing, business and calendar strategy. We value very positively the participation of "Rosa Clarà for so many years at our event, and we appreciate her contribution to the success and growth of BBFW. The doors of BBFW will always be open for when this emblematic brand wants to return to be part of the leading international fashion event Bridal." In that sense, Rosa Clará does not rule out returning in the future, perhaps next year, to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

From April 17 to 21, the Catalan capital will be the world capital of trends and businesses in the bridal sector with the celebration of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. More than 350 international bridal, ceremony, party and accessory brands will be present and 30 brands will present their collections for 2025 on the catwalk.

Two months before its celebration, BBFW has awarded 85% of the planned space at Fira de Barcelona, 6.5% more compared to the same period in 2023, which suggests that the 350 brands of the last edition will be exceeded. Likewise, the high level of internationality of the show stands out, with brands from more than 35 countries.

The catwalk is the most media image of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week and on this occasion Pronovias, Jesus Peiro, YolanCris, Isabel Sanchis, Sophie et Voilà, Marco

According to Albasarí Caro, director of the event, “BBFW 2024 is registering considerable growth both in the number of brands, as well as in internationality in the exhibition offer and in expected visitors. In this sense,” Caro assures, “it will be one of the most complete and high-level platforms in the world for next season's fashion trends, even beyond the bridal sector.”
