Ron Cephas Jones, 'This Is Us' actor, dies

The world of interpretation is dyed in mourning. One of the most prominent faces on the popular series This Is Us, actor Ron Cephas Jones, who played the character William Hill, has died at the age of 66. According to his representative to TMZ, the interpreter would not have been able to overcome the lung problems that he had suffered for a long time.

Jones, who grew up in New Jersey, had revealed a few years ago in an interview with The New York Times that he had been diagnosed with chronic lung disease and needed a double lung transplant. It was in 2020 when he underwent a double lung transplant. According to some information, the actor had an obstructive pulmonary disease and was admitted to the Los Angeles hospital for two months.

Cephas won two Emmy Awards for his role on This Is Us and was nominated four times in total for the awards. Both of his Emmys were awarded in the category of 'Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series'. In addition to his impeccable work on This Is Us, Ron has also acted in other television series, such as Law

After his death, his manager wanted to highlight "his warmth, beauty, generosity, kindness and heart of the late actor were felt by anyone who was lucky enough to know him." On the other hand, one of those who played his son in the series, Sterling K. Brown, who took on the role of William Hill, has said goodbye to him with an emotional Instagram post. "One of the most wonderful people the world has ever known is no longer with us. Ron Cephas Jones has died, and the world is a little less bright," he said on social media.

Mandy Moore, Rebecca's partner in fiction and interpreter, has also said goodbye to him through her Instagram profile. "Meeting and working with Ron during the exciting journey that was This Is Us was such a gift. He was absolutely magical as a human being and an artist," she expressed. Without a doubt, this death is a strong setback for all his loved ones and for unconditional fans of fiction, who will always remember him for his good work on camera.
