Spring surprises us with its aromas and multicolored flowers, which adorn the Spanish fields and enchant those in love with nature. The month of April is colourful, attractive and dreamy.
It is a pleasant and comforting adventure to travel the roads and paths of the Costa Brava in Girona, because they are embroidered with the golden yellow of the rapeseed fields. They make us imagine that we can touch a little piece of sun stretched out on this earth, as can be seen in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.
On the outskirts of Palafrugell, in the Baix Empordà region, we can see this extraordinary painting of yellow flowers combined with the green of its foliage and the blue of the sky, which penetrates our senses to make the spectacle unforgettable in memory.
The rapeseed plantations in the towns of the Costa Brava are multiplying and, with them, the fluorescent yellow of its flowers, which represents the spiritual wealth of its people, the hope of a tomorrow of progress. This crop has the gift and beauty of drawing sighs because its large extensions simulate paradise.
For approximately two months, nature surrenders to its beauty and offers us a wonderful spring. The oleaginous plant from which oil is extracted is the protagonist of the colorful festival. Rapeseed in its full bloom invites us to dream and to pose for a photograph that will last forever.
