The acting President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, held a working meeting with the PP candidate, Carlos Mazón. The meeting was held at the Palau de la Generalitat with the utmost cordiality and institutional courtesy before the transfer of powers, according to a joint statement.
"The objective of the meeting has been to convey a message of continuity in the face of foreign investment," the text states, adding that they have also met "to provide certainty and support and prevent this transitory period of government formation from being an inconvenience for companies that want to establish themselves in our territory".
Sources from the Generalitat and the PP have confirmed that this meeting has been held solely for this purpose and that the transfer of powers has not been discussed. In addition, working groups will be created between the presidency and Carlos Mazón to offer an image of unity and continuity in the negotiations.
