Prison without bail for the man arrested for slitting his wife's throat in Sagunto

The Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1 of Sagunt (Valencia), with powers in matters of Violence against Women, has agreed to the "provisional prison, communicated and without bail for the detainee for allegedly killing his wife last Wednesday, at a home in this town."

As reported by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, the alleged perpetrator of the death is being investigated in an open case for "a crime of homicide, without prejudice to further classification."

The judge has decreed the secrecy of the proceedings being followed for the murder of Fátima, the 34-year-old woman who was stabbed to death last Wednesday.

The woman's 13-year-old daughter remains admitted to a hospital with a reserved prognosis, as reported this Friday by sources from the Ministry of Health.

The minor was seriously injured after falling from the family home through an interior patio, while the other daughter of the murdered woman, 5 years old, has been taken in by relatives.

The aggressor, 39 years old, and father of the two minors, surrendered to the Police and confessed that he had killed his wife.
