Pitched battle with cricket bats and chair throwing in Poble-sec

Pitched battle in the Poble-sec neighborhood of Barcelona on Tuesday night. The most surprising thing is the weapons they used for the brawl, using cricket bats and throwing the tables and chairs of the surrounding bars at each other as thrown objects. The fight, which seemed to come from before, originated in the area around the Sant Francesc Xavier school, a pacified territory.

The altercation, which occurred in the middle of a public street, caused the people who were at that time in the bars on França Xica Street to have to run for fear of being attacked.

The school environment of the Escola Sant Francesc Xavier, located at number 26-28 Bòbila Street in the Poble-sec neighborhood, was pacified last April and has already been warned that it could cease to be so. The council defends that the new space is generating conflicts of coexistence, incivility and generates insecurity during the time slot that does not belong to the school.

After the battle, remains of the fight such as sharp weapons have appeared at dawn inside the school grounds in the planters of the place, something that puts the entity and the City Council on alert in order to solve the issue as soon as possible.
