The Provincial Court of Valencia has issued permanent reviewable prison for José Antonio A.C., 47 years old, who stabbed his 11-year-old son 27 times in April 2022 with the intention of causing the greatest possible pain to his ex-wife and mother of the child, whom he had just divorced.

As the perpetrator of a crime of habitual mental and physical abuse of his ex-wife, he is sentenced to two years and four months in prison, to which another two years are added as the perpetrator of a crime of non-conditional threats; 10 months as the perpetrator of a crime of physical abuse, and another 10 months as the perpetrator of a continuing crime of breach of sentence.
He is also sentenced to compensate his ex-wife with 500,000 euros for the moral damages caused by the death of his son, to which another 450 euros are added for the moral damages caused by physical abuse and threats.
The application to the convicted person of the benefits of conditional remission of sentences is declared inadmissible, by express declaration in this regard by the popular jury court, in cases where the legal requirements for this purpose are met, as well as the request for pardon for the punished, if this resolution becomes final.
