Pedro Acosta is crowned in Moto2, the youngest king in the history of 'Middle Earth'

Pedro Acosta's career is impressively brilliant, of which only the chosen ones are seen: two world champion titles in just three seasons in the World Championship, and the youngest king of the Moto2 Middle Earth, at 19 years old and 171 days. His second place in Malaysia - the victory went to his countryman Fermín Aldeguer - was enough for the Tiburón de Mazarrón to mathematically achieve his second crown.

The growth of Tiburón del Puerto de Mazarrón - where it was born on May 25, 2004 - has reached levels of genius and efficiency that the two great names in motorcycling such as Valentino Rossi and Marc Márquez had not achieved.

A follower of the Australian Casey Stoner and the American Kevin Schwantz, Acosta has signed a year 2023, his second year in the category, simply spectacular with 7 victories and 14 podiums.

In Malaysia it was enough to finish in the top four to be champion, but Tony Arbolino's problems (he was 10th after colliding with Ai Ogura and Arón Canet) facilitated his coronation, which ended as second place, behind Fermín Aldeguer.

In 2024, Pedro Acosta will make the jump to MotoGP with Gas Gas, one of the Pierer Mobility Group brands, in the position held by Pol Espargaró in the KTM satellite team.
