Part of Mandri Street, closed almost two years from today

The excavation of the well of the future station on Mandri Street on L9 of the Barcelona metro will mean that from this Monday, January 8, until approximately September 2025, the section of that road will be completely closed to traffic. between Bigai Street and Paseo de la Bonanova.

As reported by Barcelona City Council in a statement, downhill traffic will be diverted along Paseo de la Bonanova and Calle Muntaner and Calle Bigai.

In the uphill direction, the recommended detour is via Ronda del General Miter and Calle Ganduxer, or via Calle de Maó, Calle de Ganduxer and Paseo de la Bonanova.

Access to and exit from Mandri Street through the intersection with Bigai Street will be enabled exclusively for the neighborhood that has to access the parking lots, as well as emergency vehicles and services.

Furthermore, the loading and unloading space of this section will be transferred to the previous section of this same street, specifically, at the sea crossing with Maó Street. Containers will also be moved from the affected area.

These effects will also affect the circulation of bus lines V13 and N8 in the upstream direction, and V11 and 70 in the downstream direction.

Lines V13 and N8 will make the journey through Calle Prats de Molló, the Roundabout of General Miter, Calle de Ganduxer and Paseo de la Bonanova with subsequent incorporation into the regular route.

Lines V11 and 70 will change the route along Paseo de la Bonanova, Calle de Muntaner, Calle de Bigai and later rejoin the route along Calle de Mandri. Consequently, the stops on this section of Mandri Street will be out of service.
