Athletico Paranaense announced this Saturday night the departure of Vitor Roque for Barça in an operation that will be closed in this winter market. The Brazilian club has made official what was an open secret through its social networks, pointing out that this Sunday's game against Santos would be the striker's last.
"The match against Santos is the last opportunity to see Roque before he makes the jump to Europe," the entity said through X (former Twitter). Barça, for its part, was waiting for the League's approval of the transfer, which apparently it would already have, to cover Gavi's loss for the remainder of the season.
The Blaugrana club had not reacted this Saturday night to Paranaense's announcement, although the player is expected to arrive in Barcelona this next week. In principle, Barça will be able to have 80% of Gavi's salary without it being included in the salary bill.
