Paper flowers or an XL needle: The most risky dresses at the 2024 Emmys

They are the most talked about designs on the red carpets. The most creative, risky, or sometimes even controversial pieces are as essential in the run-up to the awards as the spectacular haute couture dress that monopolizes the spotlight. The 75th edition of the Emmys has not been different and its red carpet has been full of outfits that, thanks to their extravagances, have managed to go viral on social networks.

The most original and risky has undoubtedly been that of the Italian Simona Tabasco. The White Lotus actress stood out on the red carpet with a Marni design that belongs to the Spring/Summer 2024 collection. It is a collage of colorful flowers that, juxtaposed, end up creating a surreal princess-cut midi dress.

Another of the most commented designs has been that of Tabasco's co-star Aubrey Plaza. The Italian actress has walked the red carpet wearing a Loewe design from the Spring/Summer 2024 collection that plays with volumes and adds an interesting ornament to the equation of red carpet looks: an extreme brooch-style needle that decorates the vanilla piece body.

Men, who are increasingly risking more in terms of styling, have not gone unnoticed on this red carpet and this is demonstrated by Chris Perfetti's proposal. The actor who posed in an impeccable midnight blue double-breasted suit chose a curious hairstyle for the occasion: a long lock of gelled hair in a twenties style.

Cara Lisco's design not only surprised because of its intense violet color but also because of its sequins and its asymmetries in black chiffon, on the sleeves and in one of the openings of the skirt. A dress that she also combined with her husband Jonathan Lisco's purple scarf.

Contrasts in fabrics and prints are a classic on red carpets and sometimes designs as outlandish as Ali Wong's appear.

The Bronca interpreter, who took home an Emmy, wore a risky design made up of three different fabrics. A dress in which she mixes transparent chiffon, silver sequins and a floral print skirt in blue and green tones.

Winner of an Emmy for her role in the series Dahmer, actress Niecy Nash decided to stand out in the anteroom with a risky design full of volumes, especially in the velvet gloves that matched the strapless dress.
