READ VERSION IN CATALAN
The Serra Húnter Plan (PSH) to incorporate highly qualified teaching and research staff into Catalan public universities has opened the first of the two annual calls. This call offers a total of 52 positions, 49 corresponding to contracts in the category of tenure-eligible lecturers and three associate professors. These calls to attract talent, which are part of the deployment of the objectives of the knowledge society of the Pla de Govern de la Generalitat de Catalunya, have the purpose of incorporating highly qualified and meritorious teaching and research staff into Catalan public universities comparable to international standards.
Applicants must be in possession of a doctorate and have an excellent academic record, preferably with international experience. For associate professorship offers, it is necessary to have at least three years of postdoctoral experience. The people selected by selection commissions made up of national and international academics of recognized prestige will have to carry out teaching tasks as well as cooperate with existing research groups and/or develop new complementary lines of research.
The offers are included in the following fields of study: architecture, biology, earth sciences, political and social sciences, economics, education, engineering, physics, computer science, language and literature, mathematics, psychology and chemistry. The five universities that offer the contracts are the University of Barcelona (UB), the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), the University of Lleida (UdL) and the University of Girona (UdG).
People interested in applying for reading teaching posts are still on time, since the deadline for submitting applications ends tomorrow, Thursday, March 30, while for those of added teaching staff, the deadline will open on April 11 until April 27. same month.
