Swimming pool, cocktail bar, solarium and the best views of the Barcelona skyline at any time of the day. This is La Isabela, the terrace located on the roof of the 1898 hotel (La Rambla, 109), which has just been named the best 'rooftop bar' in Europe.
The title has been given to a new ranking prepared by Mandoemedia (a company specialized in digital signage technology), which has analyzed data from the more than 500 most famous rooftop bars in the world to find the best.
Located on the seventh floor of the hotel, La Isabela is so acclaimed by the public that getting a reservation already seems to be an impossible mission for those who are not staying at the hotel. It offers signature dishes and tapas: crispy prawns with tamarind mojo, Iberian pork ribs with chimichurri and dried fruits or fideua with shrimp and seafood romesco are some of the dishes that stand out on its menu. The liquid proposal stands out, however, for being generous in the selection of cavas and champagnes, and for its classic cocktails.
Against this terrace, with inimitable views of Las Ramblas, some of the best rooftops in the world compete, because in addition to being considered the best high-rise bar in Europe, it has also achieved global ranking. He has done it specifically in eleventh place.
In addition, two other Barcelona terraces have been placed on the European list. They are the Rooftop at Serras, at the top of The Serras hotel (Pg. de Colom, 9) and at number 20 on the list, and the terrace of the Pulitzer hotel (Bergara, 8), which has dropped from 16 positions this year. at 37.
The first of them has the Informal restaurant, directed by chef Marc Gascons, Michelin star for Els Tinars, in Llagostera.
