Imagining as much gray matter as there is in Moncloa giving birth to an operation of such little significance and scope would deserve a great failure in political Machiavellianism.
What is not a reading, but a certainty, because the facts confirm it, is that the presidential apparatus has not trembled to demonstrate that the Government does not have to cough. And if this requires causing a top-level crisis in an important public company, then it is. And if it also has to be proven that the independence of the public media with respect to political power continues to be a chimera in Spain, then it is proven. Let us add that this does not make the reign of Pedro Sánchez an exception. Because, to be honest, it must be added that it has always been like this. With the exception of the presidency of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, who did take the autonomy of the public radio and television entity quite seriously.
