More than 225 skiers lived an electrifying night in Baqueira Beret

The sun goes down, the day says goodbye and a magical night begins in Baqueira Beret. After enjoying the sunset from Cap de Baqueira with unique views of the Aran Valley, night falls and an exciting night ski descent begins. The adrenaline, emotion and excitement caused by this modality that has been spreading in recent years among Spanish resorts to become a trend returns.

It is the e-tron ski night that took place on February 11 and that returned to the Aranese resort for another year to offer the unique experience of skiing under the stars on illuminated slopes. It also did so with low energy consumption and environmentally friendly LED technology that gave birth to this long-awaited event, which has become a true dream for its more than 225 participants. The Baqueira Beret station shone brightly that night.

The event gathered the participants at one of the highest points of the station to start the incredible descent once night fell. Using poles with LED lights, the skiers followed the trail of four guides in lighted suits to the base.

A host of electrifying sensations that could be experienced thanks to Audi and its 100% electric models Audi RS e-tron GT and Audi Q4 e-tron, both protagonists of the night. Vehicles designed precisely to lead the way into the future of digital lighting systems thanks to technologies such as HD Matrix LED headlights with laser light. And it is that Audi has spent almost two decades playing a pioneering role and leading the advances in lighting applied to the car.

Once the descent was over, the participants were able to enjoy an electric evening full of emotion, with a cocktail in the Moet Winter Lounge. A golden closure for an unforgettable event that culminated in a demonstration of the technology of the electric propulsion models of the brand with the four rings

Attendees were wowed by features such as the Audi Q4 e-tron's augmented reality head-up display, which allows information to be displayed on the windshield directly in the driver's field of vision; or with the acoustics of its premium SONOS sound system with 10 speakers. The Audi RS e-tron GT also surprised those attending the event with its sculptural design, the animations of its Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators, its active aerodynamics concept with an adjustable rear spoiler or the displays of the Audi virtual cockpit plus.

Currently, lighting is one of the pillars of automotive development. It plays a fundamental role in vehicle design, but also in safety. Audi makes great efforts in i D to develop cutting-edge technologies in this area and an example of this are the digital LED matrix headlights.

Each headlamp has a small chip with 1.3 million micromirrors, capable of moving up to 5,000 times per second. There are a multitude of sensors responsible for capturing what is happening on the road to constantly adapt to what is happening. This technology also takes advantage of data from the browser.

The night vision assistant is also available as an option. It includes the 'marking light' function or marking light. Starting at 60 km/h, the separate LEDs in the Matrix LED headlamps flash repeatedly to identify and highlight detected pedestrians outside the illuminated areas in front of the car.
