Moool, more than a digital art gallery

Guiomar Roglán is a journalist by profession, but he explains that he has always been linked to the world of art through his mother, who was a collector. Cancer ended the life of her mother when she was 50 years old and Roglán wanted to pay tribute to her by opening a digital art gallery in her honor. After a year and a half of development, Moool (with three o's as a symbol of effusiveness) was born at the beginning of December. For the premiere of the gallery, Roglán and her partner Rubén Bernal have had well-known artists and characters such as the singer Alejandro Sanz, Javier Mariscal's Cobi and Jordi Català's TOI.

Based in Barcelona and a team of four people, Moool was born with the desire to be more than a digital art gallery. Entrepreneurs want their gallery to become a community of artists and collectors. On the other hand, it also works as a creative digital art laboratory. The first experiment to come out of Moool's laboratory is Alejandro Sanz's Latidos collection: 15 works of digital art that correspond to the musician's heartbeat during a live concert performance of 15 of his most emblematic songs.

As a digital art gallery, Moool uses digital currencies, but "you can also pay with regular money through credit or debit cards," says Roglán. The entrepreneur also highlights the will to establish reasonable and affordable prices, far from the astronomical figures that move in some NFT markets (non-fungible digital assets). The objective is "to make art available to anyone without price being a problem", in the words of Roglán. To guarantee the authenticity of the works, they use blockchain or block chain technology.

In its first year of life, the co-founders expect to reach a turnover of one million euros. To date, the startup has involved an investment of 100,000 euros.
