The plane allied with the Pink Moon

* The author is part of the community of La Vanguardia readers

Spectacular April full moon photographed from Gavà beach, in Baix Llobregat, shining at night and framing the passage of the plane along with the circumference of the full moon as an enveloping backdrop, as we see in these photographs in Readers' Photos from La Vanguardia.

The full moon in April is known as the Pink Moon. Its name does not refer to its color, but comes from the Native American tradition of associating it with the flowering of a native North American plant, the pink moss or Phlox subulata, which blooms in pink tones during spring.

In this case, the theme of the moon is combined with the prominence of the airplane, the object of desire of the spotters. Spotting is the observation and recording of aircraft.

It is a practice so popular among photography lovers that they are called spotters. In the surroundings of El Prat airport there are several viewpoints, prepared to enjoy this spectacle. Each of them allows you to see the planes in a different way.

Now, Gavà beach, given its proximity to the Prat airport, is also a good observation point for the passage of aircraft, in this case, with the Pink Moon scenery.
