First images of 'Tor', the new series by Carles Porta that remembers the famous crime in the Pyrenees

The long-awaited series "Tor", based on the famous crime in the Catalan Pyrenees, has already revealed its first images, offering a very intriguing preview of what promises to be a fascinating and captivating narrative.

The eight-episode production, which will arrive on the 3Cat and TV3 platform on April 29, delves into the story of three murders that occurred in the tiny town of Tor, located in the Catalan Pyrenees, as a result of ancient hatreds and rivalries between their inhabitants for ownership of the mountain.

The series is a continuation of the work of journalist Carles Porta (Crims), who investigated the case in 1995 for the TV3 program "30 minuts." His initial research became an "obsession" that led him to write the book "Tor: the cursed mountain" and launch a podcast on Catalunya Ràdio. Now, this story is transferred to the screen with a series that promises to be "absolutely unrepeatable", in the words of Porta himself.

Carles Porta, creator and director of the series, highlights the importance of the town of Tor and its inhabitants in the plot, stating that "without the people of Tor, without the protagonists, who are incredible and impossible to invent, there would be no story either." Furthermore, he points out that the participation of those involved alive in the series adds authenticity and depth to the story.

The series differs from other similar productions by adopting a narrative reminiscent of a story, with a disturbing and dark structure. This narrative approach is reflected in the meticulously detailed images that illustrate each event, including the use of a model of the town of Tor that adds a unique dimension and very different take on the story.

According to Carles Porta, the "Tor" series has a wide range of visual material, including archival images, contemporary interviews and a detailed model of the town of Tor, which in fact can already be seen in the first images offered by the CCMA . This model, created by Eduard Grau, will transport viewers through eight chapters, providing all the details of this exciting story.
