Milo Ventimiglia is married. The actor (46), who played Jack Pearson in This is Us, has always remained discreet regarding his romantic relationships. Even so, his representative has confirmed to People that he has secretly married his girlfriend, model Jarah Mariano (37). According to US Weekly, the couple exchanged official vows earlier this year in a private ceremony attended by family and close friends.
Although the actor has kept his private life out of the public eye, he was seen wearing his wedding ring while leaving a bar with his new wife over the weekend. Additionally, the couple was photographed in Los Angeles during a Rugby World Series match, where Mariano held Ventimiglia's hand, playing with his new ring, while they chatted with the people around them.
Milo Ventimiglia and Jarah Mariano were first linked last year, but have never publicly confirmed their relationship, despite being seen together in California in recent months. Despite the couple's attempts to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, Page Six confirmed on Monday that they are officially married.
The actor has always been reluctant to talk about his romantic relationships. In 2017 he explained to People that he prefers to keep his personal life private out of respect for his profession. "I try to minimize myself so that people can see the character and he can really immerse himself in the work," he stated. "I try to remain as anonymous and invisible as I can so that it doesn't take away from the experience of the men I play. I don't know if my life is more interesting than anyone else's."
"Your performance suffers because the audience doesn't see the character, they see you. And then you're playing yourself, but you're playing a version of yourself that's not yourself," he continued. "I have a life, but no one has to know it. Because I'm just like everyone else."
The Gilmore Girls alum has made few statements about what he wants in a partner, although on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in February 2023, he said he looks for "honesty, authenticity and intellect" in a woman.
Ventimiglia spoke to US Weekly in 2017 about his intentions to start a family. "It will happen when it happens. I'm not looking for it. It's just that I'm present in the space of my life where, when it comes along and it's the right thing, I'm sure it will work."
The actor added that playing a father on the NBC series was a "blast." "I don't have children, I have nieces and nephews. I feel like I can represent a little bit of my own paternal desire to influence a young mind, to shape a young mind, to face life in a positive way."
