María Patiño feels "lost" and asks for "psychological help" after three months away from Mediaset

Since the new management of Mediaset España ordered the closure of Sálvame in June 2023, the different collaborators and presenters have tried to adapt to other programs, television spaces and shows.

Some of the talk show hosts of the heart program (Kiko Matamoros, Kiko Hernández, Chelo García Cortés, Víctor Sandoval, Terelu Campos, Belén Esteban, Lydia Lozano and María Patiño) participated in a docuseries for Netflix that obtained great data on the platform: ¡Sálvese who can! However, after the issuance of said project, many of them were left without work.

After so many years on the small screen, some of these workers are suffering the consequences of boredom. In the case of María Patiño, she is not having a good time. The presenter stayed with Socialité after the closure of Sálvame, but she was later replaced by María Verdoy.

In an interview on the TV3 program Col.lapse, which was reported on by Más Noticias magazine, Patiño explained that she had to ask for psychological help to deal with this unwanted work break: ''I felt very lost. "It has been difficult for me to enjoy my free time."

As she confessed a few months ago, Patiño was diagnosed by a specialist as a 'workaholic', something that has made her process of adapting to this new stage of her life even more difficult.

Despite all the inconveniences she has encountered during this process, Belén Esteban's friend has realized one very important thing: she has to prioritize herself. In the aforementioned space, the talk show host confessed that she is living a quiet period in which she has reconnected with people whom she had 'abandoned' due to the lack of time in her routine and that she is learning to value simple actions such as Take your dog for a walk without having to look at the clock.

While Patiño complains about the lack of work in the media, other Sálvame colleagues such as Lydia Lozano, Terelu Campos or Chelo García Cortés have found an opportunity on TVE. For their part, Gemma López and Alonso Caparrós are happy in Espejo Público.

Other profiles such as Belén Esteban and Kiko Matamoros are focused on their companies and personal businesses. Jorge Javier Vázquez, for his part, has shown that he still has a lot to give on television thanks to his participation as a presenter on Supervivientes, a program that is giving large audiences to Mediaset España.

Seeing herself on the cover of the gossip magazine, the Galician communicator has published a post on the social network X (previously known as Twitter) in which she has denied that she is "lost."

''This morning I discovered on the cover of a magazine that I feel lost. Is not true. Success is equated with happiness. I am a woman who flees from apathy and complaints. I ask for help to evolve. I feel lucky and at peace. Life has given me the opportunity to grow,' she stated.
