Manchester City – Liverpool: Schedule and where to watch the Community Shield match on TV

For the sixth consecutive season Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp will compete again for all the titles in England and Europe. And to start the course, Manchester City and Liverpool will fight for the first title of the season, the Community Shield, this Saturday at the legendary Wembley Stadium.

Since Guardiola's arrival, City and Liverpool have met 14 times in all competitions. Five wins for each and four draws reflects the enormous equality that exists, although in terms of titles, the one from Santpedor is clearly the winner of the contest: four Premiers, one FA Cup, four League Cups and two Community Shields. Klopp has won a Premier, an FA Cup and a League Cup in the same time.

Both have managed to reinforce themselves with renowned figures. City have got one of the big names on the market: Erling Braut Haaland. A striker who Guardiola has longed for for years and who should serve to give them a leap in quality, especially in Europe, where he has so far failed to succeed.

For its part, Liverpool has invested 75 million in Darwin Núñez, the most expensive signing in its history. Against Leipzig he left his cover letter with four goals. In addition, City have signed Kalvin Phillips, a former Leeds United player, and Julián Álvarez, a promising striker from River Plate. Those of Klopp, for their part, announced the hiring of the Portuguese Fábio Carvalho, a young attacking midfielder who stood out at Fulham.

The Community Shield will be played this Saturday from 6:00 p.m. at the King Power Stadium in Leicester and can be followed by Dazn. In addition, the La Vanguardia website will offer live online monitoring of everything that happens at the event.
