Madrid stopped sending inheritance tax savings letters in February

The Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment, Rocío Albert, has reported that the informative letters on tax savings due to the inheritance tax stopped being sent on February 3, letters that Más Madrid have severely criticized because they claim that they were sent “in full mourning” after the death of a family member.

The advisor to the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso explained in the control session to the Government yesterday that these letters are no longer sent and has said that Más Madrid's accusations are “lies or half-truths” because “they say that we sent that letter when a family member died", but they were remitted "when the self-assessment" of the tax occurred, something that, according to Albert, "does not coincide in time."

The counselor has accused the Más Madrid deputy Emilio Delgado of being "not very respectful" and of having "no shame" when discussing this issue, because she believes that "they use the feelings of the people who have suffered the death to demagogue with a theme like that.”

The deputy spokesperson for Más Madrid, Emilio Delgado, asked Albert about these informative letters that were sent to Madrid residents about the tax savings due to the inheritance tax bonus in its entirety in the region, and he said that if the Government of Ayuso carrying the title of a film would be “neither sense nor sensitivity” and has accused them that “they have been sending these letters for years in the midst of mourning, remembering that thanks to the inheritance tax bonus they are going to save a few euros.”

Although the counselor has indicated that these letters are no longer sent, Delgado has advised her that “they should do like the general director of Taxes” in the last Treasury commission and “apologize and stop sending them.”
