The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has announced regional budgets of 27.5 billion euros for next year, which represents an increase of almost 20% compared to previous ones, and points to a "historic investment" in Health.
This is how the Madrid president defended it during a day of conferences organized by the newspaper OK, in which she stressed that these are budgets that have been made "with people in mind", since "almost 90% is expenditure social": "Very different from the socialist that they propose to us," he pointed out as a slap at the central government.
The notable budget increase of 20% is due to the fact that the accounts for 2023 had to be extended. The complicated divorce that PP and Vox staged in the run-up to the regional elections in May prevented an agreement by the right for the regional accounts that, in the end, led to a loss of 2,705 million for the people of Madrid.
"Millions of euros are going to be lost in reducing waiting lists, aid for large families, Primary Care, dining scholarships, early care or day centers and nursing homes" due to Vox's "insane" attitude, Ayuso criticized a year ago .
Everything has changed a year later. The absolute majority of the PP in the Community has allowed the PP to free itself from any negotiation with other forces, raising the budgets to historic levels.
By area, Health will receive more than 10,000 million euros, while Education will receive 6,400 million. Some increases from which the rest of the departments will also benefit.
In addition, the regional Executive plans to allocate nearly one hundred million euros to combat unemployment among young people with the creation, among others, of a 'Digital Talent Plan' with which nine thousand young people will be trained in collaboration with Oracle companies. , SAP, Microsoft and Amazon: "The objective is to provide training that responds to the most in-demand profiles in the labor market and the commitment to job placement exceeds 60 percent," said Ayuso.
A 'Senior Talent Plan' will also be developed to promote the employment of older people.
"In the Community of Madrid we work to generate employment and prosperity, to confront global instability in the best conditions, to counteract the excesses of the Sánchez Government," stated the Madrid president.
Díaz Ayuso has stressed that the leader of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, is "already a burden" for the Spanish economy" and together with Sumar they are "lethal": "It is the deadly formula to Argentinize our economy," he added.
