Lobato calls Ayuso a "hypocrite" for criticizing the transfer of Rodalies when Aguirre asked for Cercanías

The amnesty law that the PSOE negotiates with Junts per Catalunya and ERC during the negotiations for the investiture of Pedro Sánchez has emerged again this Thursday in the plenary session of the Madrid Assembly, where President Isabel Díaz Ayuso has accused the PSOE of " circumvent any institutional control" with their transfers while the socialist spokesperson has urged the popular party to "take care of the problems of the people of Madrid" instead of "worrying" about Sánchez.

The PP has charged against the PSOE for the "transfer of Rodalies to ERC" as a result of its "immoral pacts with those who want to break up Spain" contrasting it with the "bad state and lack of investment in the Madrid Cercanías. To which the Socialists have responded by calling the Popular Party "hypocrites", recalling that the former president of the Community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre, requested in 2007 the transfer of management of Cercanías.

Asked if he would be willing to address this proposal now in 2023, Lobato has avoided setting his position although he has defended that "it can be raised" with any government. But he has not hesitated to censure that Ayuso is "with the Puigdemont thing" when he is making similar demands and claims on a daily basis. A contradiction why the socialist has not hesitated to define the president of the Community as "Puigdemont II."

In the case of Más Madrid, its regional spokesperson Mónica García, has stated that her group wants the regional government to request the necessary improvements for the Cercanías because the people of Madrid “deserve all the modernization”; Therefore, she hopes that Díaz Ayuso will ask for these investments “with the same zeal with which he has carried out Constitutions, for example, the Housing Law.”

For her part, the leader of Vox, Rocío Monasterio, has criticized the new transfers and has said that she is “not at all in favor of transferring, at this time or now, in exchange for nothing, the Cercanías” in Madrid.
