Letizia has returned to TV for the love of radio. The Queen has joined the promotion of the special program by the duo Gomaespuma, which can be seen on Movistar Plus, with which Guillermo Fesser and Juan Luis Cano return to the airwaves to support the work of their foundation, but not before expressing their admiration for the duo and declared themselves a follower of the legendary program that stopped airing in 2007. Gomaespuma, the reunion is the title of the production, the proceeds of which will go to the foundation promoted by Cano and Fesser, whose objective is to promote culture and education of the most disadvantaged social groups.
In a video of just over two minutes, Letizia claims that she secretly heard the broadcast when it was broadcast at dawn and also, later, when it went on the airwaves first thing in the morning, first on Antena 3 Radio and later on M80.
"Who was going to tell me that after these years, when I was 13 or 14 years old, and that I was secretly listening to the program at dawn..." Queen Letizia begins by saying to show her happiness at being with his admired Fesser and Cano. The two comedians, who in recent years have dedicated themselves to their foundation, talk about you to the Queen at all times, the three of them sitting on a sofa in the anteroom of Letizia's office in La Zarzuela.
The Queen acknowledges that, as a teenager, she wanted to be a journalist to feel like some of the characters in Gomaespuma, among whom she cites the reporters invented by the duo Carmelo Cotón (carmelocotón) or Ricardo Borriquero (ricardo-borriquero). In a casual tone, Letizia confesses that she has joined the initiative to "play ball" to the duo but mainly to recognize the task that the foundation performs. "We are piglets," (a name that Fesser and Cano used to define their most faithful listeners) and thus recognize that they are one more of "the fifty-something children raised on the breasts of Gomaespuma."
In her speech, which is broadcast at the end of the Gomaespuma program, the reunion Doña Letizia has also taken advantage of the promotional preview to mention the Gomaespuma Foundation and its work with the 'Think Equal' program on "social and emotional education." The program, which can be seen from December 26, on Movistar Plus, traces the history of the duo and features guests such as chef José Andrés, former coach Vicente del Bosque; the actor Luis Zahera y Cándida, who was an employee of Cano's home, also a collaborator of the Gomaespuma program with her hilarious and surreal film reviews and even starred in a film, produced by Gomaespuma. The first vice president of the Government, Nadia Calviño, intervenes in the program to present the first prize from the Gomaespuma Foundation to Cándida, who, at 92 years old, is learning to write.
