Junts will not attend the King's round of consultations: "We have nothing to tell him"

The spokesperson for Junts in Congress, Míriam Nogueras, has assured that JxCat will not go to the round of contacts with the King because they have "nothing to tell him." This is how she explained it in an interview with the ACN agency. The monarch will hold meetings with seven parliamentary groups between Monday and Tuesday to propose a candidate for the investiture.

In 2019, the leader of Junts, Laura Borràs, did go to the round of consultations with Felipe VI. Nogueras has argued that Borràs "was, explained what she had to explain" and that "the king of 3-O has not had any interest in rectifying his speech." She has also said that these meetings are acts "drenched in compliance" and that is why they will not go. As has been happening in recent years, neither will the ERC, EH Bildu, the PNV and the BNG.

Likewise, Nogueras has said that if the objective is to ask if his votes will go for Pedro Sánchez or for Feijóo, the answer is that "today, no." "Therefore, it doesn't make any sense. We have nothing to tell him," she maintained.

The first groups that Felipe VI will meet will be UPN, the Canary Islands Coalition, the PNV and Sumar, on Monday. On Tuesday morning he will meet Santiago Abascal (Vox), Pedro Sánchez (PSOE) and in the afternoon, with Alberto Núñez Feijóo (PP).
