Jail for the man who tried to kill his partner in a campsite in Pozoblanco

He was brought to justice after attacking his wife with a knife on Wednesday at a campsite in Pozoblanco, in Córdoba, and injuring his 12-year-old daughter, but he accepted his right not to testify. However, today, the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1 of Pozoblanco, in Córdoba, competent in Violence against Women, decreed his admission to prison, provisionally, community and without bail, for the facts.

As reported by the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA), the 34-year-old detainee is being investigated for the alleged commission of the crimes of attempted homicide of his wife, 41, and a crime of domestic violence to the hit his daughter. Several witnesses to the facts have testified in the case.

Meanwhile, the stabbed woman remains admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a reserved prognosis at the Valle de los Pedroches Hospital, as confirmed by sources from the Junta de Andalucía.

It was last Friday, around 2:00 p.m., when the individual attacked his partner in the camping pool facilities. Her daughter, a minor, tried to stop the aggression resulting in a minor injury after receiving several blows from her father.

It was a call to 112 Emergencies made by several witnesses that activated the Civil Guard and the health services, which transferred the victim to the Valle de los Pedroches Regional Hospital.

As a result of the arrangement established by the Armed Institute and the Local Police, a Local Police patrol arrested the alleged perpetrator of the attack shortly after, while the Civil Guard recovered the weapon used in the alleged commission of the crime, also proving that there is a previous case of gender violence by the aggressor with respect to the victim, inactive since March 2019.

This attack occurred when Pozoblanco was living its second day of official mourning, decreed by the city council following the macho murder on Tuesday, in the same town, of a 31-year-old woman who died at the hands of her partner, a man of 39 years old, who later committed suicide, which led hundreds of Pozo Albenses to rally in rejection of this crime.
