The Municipal Police of Madrid discovered turtle shells, sea cucumbers (sea cucumbers), American crabs, pike perch and more than 9,600 medicines without sanitary control in a Chinese restaurant in the Usera district, which has been investigated for sacrificing specimens of protected species to later offer them to diners.

After receiving information about the practices that were allegedly carried out in the premises, located on Ramón Luján street in the capital, the agents went to the establishment on several occasions, until on the 21st they were able to access it to carry out an investigation. inspection, reports the local body.

The suspicions were confirmed, since inside the restaurant, where two workers were, they found all kinds of protected species and others whose commercialization is prohibited in Spain.

Specifically, the agents counted nine soft shell turtles, 858 sea turtles, 530 American crabs, pike perch, a dehydrated carp and a domestic pigeon.

According to investigations, those responsible for the premises sacrificed many of the animals inside, which were later offered to customers, mostly Chinese tourists, in the different dishes on the menu.

In addition, the agents also seized a total of 9,653 medicines of Chinese origin that had not gone through the corresponding health controls in Spain.

The restaurant, which is now being investigated for a crime against fauna and flora, like the two aforementioned workers, advertised its exotic dishes through social networks.
