The person accused of murdering a young man with knives in a house in Masarac, in Alt Empordà (Girona) on August 31, 2022, stated that, after having a dispute with the victim over a domestic matter, he hid the knife "to defend himself" because I thought they would fight. "I didn't want to kill him," he said.
The defendant refused to answer the prosecutor and only answered the defense's questions.
After the statement, the prosecutor maintained the request for 24 years in prison for murder.
The defense maintains that it is a homicide and that the accused acted in self-defense and collaborated with justice.
The trial began on Monday in the Court and it is expected that on Thursday morning they will deliver the verdict to the popular jury, which will retire to deliberate.
