Griezmann enters history but Atlético does not go beyond a draw against Getafe

Atlético tied at the Metropolitano (3-3) with Getafe in a very exciting match full of alternatives and the colchoneros played with one less from the 38th minute due to Savic's expulsion for a double yellow.

Griezmann opened the scoring in the 40th minute, Borja Mayoral tied in the 53rd minute and Morata in the 63rd minute and again Griezmann, with a penalty in the 69th minute, made the score 3-1. Getafe pulled with pride and tied with goals from Óscar, deflected towards his goal by Griezmann himself in the 87th minute, and Mayoral again from a penalty, already in the 93rd minute. In the final stages Oblak saved the point with two good interventions.

With his double, Griezmann equals Luis' 173 goals as the top scorer in Atlético's history. Getafe had been the last team to score points in the Metropolitano last season. If the colchoneros had won tonight they would have achieved their 21st consecutive victory in their stadium, which would have been a new record.

In the new Los Cármenes, in Quique Sánchez Flores' debut against Granada, Sevilla put their bad streak behind them and took the victory with goals from Pedrosa, Ocampos and Sergio Ramos. Valencia won in Vallecas (0-1) with a goal from Sergi Canós in the 60th minute. Rayo ends the year with the flu. He has gone eight days without winning and 410 minutes without seeing a goal. Valencia is still installed in the middle zone.
