GPT-4: the new version of ChatGPT will create videos from texts

Less than two months have passed since Microsoft introduced the integration of ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) conversational chatbot that is based on the GPT-3.5 model, into its Bing search engine. Its success has been undeniable: the Redmond-based technology company has surpassed one hundred million daily users for the first time. And the company goes one step further. This week he will unveil the next generation of the OpenAI language model, GPT 4, which, in addition to improving interaction, will incorporate video generation.

The news came by surprise during the 'AI in Focus - Digital Kickoff' event, mainly focused on LLM, a large language model capable of transforming domains through learned knowledge. "We will present GPT-4 next week, there we will have multimodal models that will offer completely different possibilities, such as videos," explained the CTO of Microsoft Germany, Andreas Braun, according to the German media Heise Online.

GPT 4 will not be just any version. Braun spoke of a “multimodal” model. This means that the chatbot will not only be able to answer complex questions, review texts, translate fragments or write software programming code, but will also work from images and sounds. And it will be able to generate videos.

Getting the popular chatbot to generate videos is not easy. To achieve this, both OpenAI and Microsoft have had to do really intense training in recent weeks, because the machine needs a large amount of data for the AI to learn how humans speak.

Although ChatGPT learns by leaps and bounds, Microsoft does not believe that the chatbot poses a risk to hundreds of jobs. It will take "many experts to make the use of AI add value," Microsoft Germany CEO Marianne Janik emphasized during the event. She recommends that companies form internal "competence centers" that can train employees to use AI.

Microsoft has set out to lead the race for AI. The company took the initiative by announcing last February the integration of ChatGPT into its Bing search engine, a way to improve search results and revitalize the search engine, which had been at a clear disadvantage before Google until then.

It seems that the strategy is working for him. Bing has surpassed one hundred million daily users for the first time, a figure that the technology company celebrates and that it links to the preview of the new capabilities of the chatbot based on the GPT 3.5 language model. A third of those who use the preview are also new users of the search engine.

Microsoft calls the new AI-powered Bing "validation that search needs to be reinvented and the unique value proposition of combining Search Answers Chat Create into a single experience."
