Just a few hours after hanging up his boots and announcing his retirement, Gerard Piqué has granted his first interview. The Catalan has sat down with Ibai Llanos for an honest talk that the streamer has broadcast through his Twitch channel, and in which they have talked about everything: from his reasons for retiring right now, his feelings about what is to come and what happened to the referee at El Sadar, Gil Manzano, after being sent off in his last game with Barça.
A talk in which the player confessed to being grateful to have the "freedom" to be able to do many other things that he had not been able to do in all his years of professional career.
Everyone knows that Piqué has been able to form a true business empire in recent years through the firm Kosmos Holding SL, from which he launches all kinds of projects; and the fact is that the Catalan will be many things, but he is a guy loaded with ideas, some of them a bit crazy, but most of them work. In his talk with Ibai, for example, he gave free rein to one of those brainstorms of his, and showed how his brain worked by proposing a strategy to renew the world of football. An idea that even Ibai himself left unsettled.
"I would make very radical changes," assured the footballer, taking for granted that his ideas would make people put their hands to their heads when trying to change something like football, so traditional.
