Gastronomic route through the Baix Llobregat

Pota blava chicken will once again be the protagonist of the autumn gastronomic agenda. Until next October 29, the sixteenth edition of the Fifth Tapa will be held, a party dedicated to this bird with colorful plumage and blue legs that is only raised in the Llobregat delta and has the European PGI quality seal.

More than twenty bars and restaurants in the area will offer tapas where this Km0 product will be the center, with the aim of boosting the restoration of the territory and highlighting one of its most representative ingredients.

The participating establishments will prepare two dishes, one with pota blava and the other with ingredients from the Parc Agrari del Baix Llobregat which, accompanied by a Quinto Magna or a bottle of water, will cost 4 and 3.50 euros, respectively. There will be about forty options to choose from, such as a butter brioche stuffed with squid with plum aioli, a potato omelet made with the eggs of this bird or a local pumpkin hummus, which will be available at different times and days depending on the restaurant.

Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite tapa, as well as for the best waiter or waitress from the establishments that collaborate on the gastronomic route. Awards will also be given to two leaders in local restaurants, Rosa M. Canoi and Miguel Olivares from the La Castellana restaurant, who after retiring have put an end to a project that has marked the gastronomy of the territory.

Among the novelties that this year's Fifth Tapa will bring together will be the Pota Blava Cocktails route, which seeks to promote responsible and quality leisure, and two bicycle excursions − on October 22 and 29 − to see first-hand the extensive fields of the Parc Agrari and the natural spaces bathed by the Llobregat River, which will end with the tasting of some of the culinary proposals of this edition.
