García apologizes for collecting the same social bonus for which he requested Ossorio's resignation

The leader of Más Madrid, Mónica García, has entered the regional Chamber of Madrid surrounded by a cloud of journalists and photographers who she has not kept waiting. And, even before the plenary session began, he appeared before the press to acknowledge his "mistake" and apologize for benefiting from the same thermal bonus to help vulnerable families charged by the vice president of the Community chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso and for which Yesterday he asked for his resignation as he is the regional deputy with the highest patrimony.

With a serious tone, and without evading any questions after the political anger that originated, the opposition leader has assured that she is studying how to return the 195 euros in a single payment that she received for the aforementioned bonus and that, she assures, she did not know how to charge as she was a "automatic help" for large families.

"I recognize that mistake and I admit that I don't like it," he insisted. "It seems to me that it is a regressive aid that does not reach vulnerable people and reaches those who do not need it. I am going to do all the possible procedures that are in my power to try to return it," she asserted.

In her opinion, there is "a moral difference" between Ayuso's number two, Enrique Ossorio, and her, because the vice president has "the largest heritage in this Community" and "he stuck out his chest and said that he was going to ask for all the help that could" after having "humiliated the most vulnerable and complained about the little payments he is charging".

After unleashing the controversy, the Minister for Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, has announced that the Government will modify the criteria for access to the electric social bonus to prevent large families with high incomes from having access to this public aid: "It is clear that there is to correct it", he pointed out this Thursday on Cadena Ser.

In this sense, García has celebrated the modifications announced by the central government and has tried to redirect the controversy. And once the apologies have been requested, he has shot Ayuso's number two, claiming that he not only does not do the same, but that he "boasts" about it.
