Francesc Picas, from the group 'Loco Mía', dies at 53

Francesc Picas, one of those who made up the Loco Mía group in one of its stages, has died at the age of 53 in Barcelona. This is what his family and friends have made known through the singer's social networks. "Francesc's Light has gone out in this life, but he never will in eternity," they began to relate in this statement in his memory.

Although the cause of death is still unknown, as they preferred to omit it in the statement, they have made it clear that Picas will continue in the memory of all those who knew him. "The family and friends, in this very painful situation, ask for privacy and that his human and artistic legacy be preserved with all the love and respect that he deserves," they added.

After these words, they wanted to end the writing with a phrase that Francesc Picas himself wrote: "If we are Light, everything is possible. And if we are Light, we are all One." A statement that comes one day after the singer's fan account on Facebook announced the sad news.

"They announce to us that our poet left this earth on November 18 to join the heavenly beings who await him. Your departure is still difficult for me. May God rest you in his glory... One day you told me that hugs know no distance. I hug you infinite to the sky dear Francesc Picas," they said.

Since then, there have been thousands of farewell messages and expressions of affection that the artist has received in the last few hours. "I recently saw an interview they did with him in Argentina and he talked about his musical comeback. Peace to his soul and resignation to his family," said one of his followers. "I still don't believe it... I love you Francesc and I will remember you as part of my adolescence," responded another.

News that has caught everyone by surprise, since Picas had decided to return to the artistic world after his break to study Psychology. So much so, that this same August he returned to Argentina in a recital at the Picadilly Teatro.

In 1989, Xavier Font, founder of the band, wanted to give 'Loco Mía' a boost and decided to take a backseat by becoming manager. After this, he contacted Francesc Picas, who became an official member of the group until 1992. A successful stage in which they did not stop attending radio and television programs, and in which they won numerous awards.

After achieving this fame, he decided to go solo with his first album Bendiciones. However, he did not manage to remove "the shadow" of the group until after 30 years. On his return, he finally managed to find his place. In time was the concert tour that he was very excited about until his last days.
