Four Palestinians killed in a single day in several West Bank cities

Israeli forces killed three Palestinians in separate incidents in the West Bank on Tuesday, before a suspected car bomb attack wounded an Israeli soldier. The attacker, who attacked the military in an area near the Kokhav Yaakov colony, near Ramallah, in the center of the West Bank, died, according to the Shaarei Tsedek hospital in Jerusalem to which he was transported along with his victim, a soldier from twenty years “moderately injured”.

Early on Tuesday, the Israeli army released a statement claiming to have reacted to two attacks. The first incident took place in Beit Ommar, near Hebron, in the southern West Bank, where tensions between the Israeli settlers and the Palestinian population are still alive. The second incident took place in Kafr Ein, near Ramallah, in the vicinity of the headquarters of the Palestinian National Authority.

In Beit Ommar, according to the Palestinian Minister of Health, a Palestinian died after being shot in the head by the Israeli army. He was identified as Mufid Mahmud Jalil. The army claimed to have opened fire on rioters who were throwing stones “and explosive devices at soldiers in two vehicles that were patrolling the area and had been blocked by a technical problem.

In Kafr Ein, Jauad and Dhafer Abdul Rahman Rimaui, two brothers aged 22 and 21, were shot dead by the army. Palestinian Civil Affairs Minister Hussein al-Sheikh called his death a "cold-blooded execution." The Israeli army has evoked a "violent confrontation" against two boys who threw stones and Molotov cocktails.
