The firefighters of the Community of Madrid have controlled a forest fire this Sunday that has been declared in a steep and difficult-to-access terrain in the municipality of Chinchón.
The fire originated on land near the M-404, at kilometer 54, in a scrubland area, as reported by the Community of Madrid Emergencies. It is a very difficult area to access and after controlling the fire, the firefighters have remained escarping the area.
Up to the place, which is difficult to access, 10 firefighters from the Community of Madrid have come, which have taken about three hours to control the fire.
In the middle of the afternoon, the firefighters continued their work to cool the ground, while forestry agents from the Community of Madrid investigated the origin of the fire.
The high temperatures are contributing to the fact that the summer fires are taking place in many parts of Spain.
