Ferran Ferrer, creator of the 'Barcelona, ​​posa't guapa' campaign, dies

The former manager of the Urban Landscape and Quality of Life Institute of the Barcelona City Council between 1985 and 2001 and one of the promoters of the Barcelona, ​​posa't guapa campaign, Ferran Ferrer, died this Sunday in the Catalan capital, as reported by his family.

Ferrer was one of the promoters of the Program of Measures for the Protection and Improvement of the Urban Landscape, aimed at promoting the rehabilitation of buildings and other architectural elements of the city, as well as the creation of the modernist route of Barcelona.

After the 1992 Olympic Games he was awarded the Barcelona 92 ​​medal for his work transforming the city and improving the urban landscape.

He also received the Grand Cross of the Military Order for his contribution to the return of Montjuïc Castle to the city during his time in Barcelona from Serveis Municipals SA, as well as the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit for the organization of the X World Games of Police and Firefighters, which brought together more than 10,000 participants in the city in 2003.

Ferran Ferrer's wake will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Les Corts funeral home and the funeral will be held on Tuesday, according to the family.
