Elton John has been hospitalized this past weekend after suffering a fall at his villa in Nice, France. According to sources, the 76-year-old British singer was transferred to Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco.
"We can confirm that, following a slip yesterday at his home in the south of France, Elton visited the local hospital as a precaution," his rep told Page Six.
"After the controls, he was immediately discharged this morning and is now back home and in good health," reveals his team.
The artist has spent much of the summer on the French Riviera with her husband, David Furnish, and their two children after finishing their spectacular Yellow Brick Road farewell tour last month.
The 'Rocket Man' singer delivered a most emotional message to his final audience in Stockholm: “I've had the most wonderful career, beyond belief. Fifty-two years of pure joy playing music. How lucky I am to play music."
Elton John has enjoyed his latest tour, which he has described as magical: "I can't tell you how much I'm going to miss the fans and how humbled your support has made me; it will stay with me forever," said the artist.
Despite the fact that the British will leave behind the "exhausting tours, which take him away from his family and his children", he does not rule out releasing new music soon to stay on the crest of the wave, as he already did with Dua Lipa in his hit 'Cold Heart'.
