'El Pastilla', a dangerous prisoner, escapes from Alcalá Meco on Christmas Eve

A dangerous prisoner managed to escape from the Alcalá Meco prison (Alcalá de Henares, Madrid) on Saturday the 23rd, Christmas Eve. Penitentiary Institutions have opened an internal investigation to clarify the circumstances of the escape, which was recorded in the count that afternoon.

The escape in the Madrid 2 Penitentiary Center, reported by the newspaper El Faro de Ceuta, was confirmed to La Vanguardia by sources from Penitentiary Institutions. The prisoner is the young man from Ceuta, Yusef M.L., alias 'El Pastilla', accused of two murders and linked to drug trafficking.

'El Pastilla' was in provisional detention in that Madrid prison for allegedly murdering one of the considered drug lords of the autonomous city, Nayim K.A., nicknamed "Tayena", who on April 12 was shot in the chest in Los Barrios (Cádiz). Hours after the murder, the Civil Guard arrested him in the port of Algeciras (Cádiz) as the alleged perpetrator of the crime.

According to information from El Faro de Ceuta, "El Pastilla" was transferred this month from the Algeciras prison to the Alcalá-Meco prison due to his "incompatibilities" with rival gangs. The young man has two open proceedings: one for the death of "Tayena", considered his boss, and another for the murder by mistake in Algeciras of a young man whom he supposedly confused with another person.

According to El Español, he was able to leave among the visitors on Christmas Eve.

After learning of the escape, the corresponding protocol was activated and Penitentiary Institutions reported the escape to the security forces and the court that is investigating the crimes for which Yusef M.L. was in prison.
