According to the head of the government press service, the attack targeted "a convoy of ambulances that was preparing to transport the wounded from the Al Shifa hospital" to the border with Egypt. “This massacre left dozens dead and injured,” he stated. Currently, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health, 16 of the 35 hospitals in the Gaza Strip are out of service, either because they were bombed or because they no longer have fuel to run their generators.
