Antoni Gaudí was a genius, he planned perfectly so that, from an arch on the roof of La Pedrera-Casa Milà, the Sagrada Familia could be seen as if it were a painting once finished.
This "snapshot" is one of the most sought after by tourists and Barcelona residents. And it is not easy at all, since there are always many people on the roof of La Pedrera, as we see in this series of photographs in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.
The health crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic affected the pace of work on the Sagrada Familia, which was to be completed by 2026, coinciding with the centenary of Gaudí's death.
The Temple Construction Board set the new date for the completion of the temple works to be the year 2033, when the finished basilica can be seen from this arch on the roof of La Pedrera.
For now, tourists have to settle for seeing the silhouette of the Sagrada Familia with the construction cranes, but that is not inconvenient for them to want to capture this photograph from this very strategic point.
